1 in stock

A late 19th century French-style daybed with a continuous, sculptural curve and a carved wooden base set on castors.

The frame features soft, flowing lines with restrained scrollwork along the apron and cabriole legs, giving it a sense of movement without excess ornament. Newly reupholstered in a neutral velvet, the finish is quiet and considered, allowing the form to take focus.

Originally intended for salon interiors, it works easily at the end of a bed or as a standalone piece in a living space.

78” long. Likely Continental European, late 1800s. Frame shows age consistent with use.

Responsible Design

A late 19th century piece given new life through reupholstery, extending its use for years to come. Built on a solid wooden frame and designed for longevity, it reflects a slower approach to furnishing, one that values restoration over replacement.

Care Instructions

Vacuum upholstery regularly using a soft brush attachment. Spot clean with a mild, water-based solution and blot gently—avoid oversaturating. Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent fading. Periodically check and tighten castors, and lift rather than drag when moving to protect both the frame and floors.
