If Flamingo Estate is was owner Richard's baby, then these three Candles are his most beloved children. They were the first three things they ever made, and have become what Flamingo Estate is most famous for. If you’ve been to the Estate, you know it's a sea of Rosemary, Sage, and Tomato plants. As you walk around the property, these three scents tingle your nose and push you along the pathways. So, it was obvious they would start here.

Richard loves all the children equally, but the Tomato Candle is definitely class president and she’s the one that everyone seems to notice first. Sage is smart and very interesting. Deep and complex, and not as flashy as her sisters. She drives a Subaru, and wears vintage Patagonia. And the Rosemary Candle, she’s more worldly than her sisters — aching to live in Italy where we know she’ll thrive. She speaks with accents, wears Ferragamo flats, and watches Dario Argento films. She’s Mediterranean at heart and lights up a room.

How To Use

When burning your candle for the first time, allow it to burn for 2 to 3 hours, until the top layer of the wax has completely melted. This will prevent the wax from tunneling around the wick.

Ideally, we recommend keeping the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch at all times to prevent the candle from emitting smoke or the wick falling into the wax.

After each burn, see that the wick is centered in the wax. This will also ensure that the glass does not overheat. The wick and flame should never be touching the glass.

Please make sure to never leave a lit candle unattended or let it burn for more than 4 hours at a time. A lit candle should also only be placed on a flat, heat-resistant surface.

Keep the candle out of reach of children and pets.

Rosemary
Walking down the stairs at the Flamingo Estate, Climbing Rosemary grows wild, spilling over the bricks onto the path, and trailing down the hillside. The scent hits you nose instantly. It’s powerful and herbaceous, with traces of camphor. Rosemary is known to stimulate the mind and enhance memory. The candle brings you back to that time in the garden, the happiest place.

Tomato
The goat shed is a hidden gem at the Estate, a tiny jewel box of delight where apothecary jars line the walls with medicine from Mother Nature. You come here for inspiration, to linger on the porch and soak up the sun that bounces off the walls. The vegetable garden is here — where tomatoes hang heavy on the vine, their silky skin stretching to contain their sweet juice, their leafy vines reaching for the tops of the trellis. You'll love biting into a sun warmed tomato and crushing the soft leaves in your hands. Flamingo Estate captured this with the Roma Heirloom Tomato Candle. The smell is sweet and green with a hint of sharpness, smoothed out by notes of earth. It’s an unexpected delight that conjures Summer whenever you light it.

Sage
Sage of all varietals grow thickly on the hillsides, attracting butterflies and bees with their showy towers of architectural flowers. The leaves are where the magic lies. Soft, velvety, and wildly aromatic, rub the leaves between your fingers to release the earthy, herbaceous scent.
