The smaller Crater Showboat pairs a wide, footed form with a layered glaze that moves through cream, stone, and earthy brown, settling into the textured surface and emphasizing the marks of the making process. Inside, the finish changes dramatically to a dark, glossy glaze with crystalline areas that resemble ice or broken glass. The contrast between the earthy exterior and glass-like interior gives the piece much of its character. Use it for a small arrangement or simply as a sculptural bowl.
