Bold, theatrical, and full of personality, this vibrant lithograph by Canadian artist Bob Hamilton captures a character as whimsical as it is enigmatic. Titled Bearded Actor and signed by the artist, this is a rare artist’s proof, rendered in rich earth tones with expressive linework and pops of citrus green and ochre. Bob Hamilton (1928–1996) was a prolific Canadian painter and printmaker known for his energetic lines and often playful, stylized figures. A graduate of the Ontario College of Art, Hamilton spent much of his career working in Toronto and Guelph, and his work has been widely collected across Canada. His prints often balance humour with depth, reflecting both the mundane and theatrical sides of life.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition with only minor signs of age along the matting. A standout addition to any wall, especially for collectors of Canadian modernist printmaking.
