Antique French Daybed
Maker: Collected
A late 19th century French-style daybed with a continuous, sculptural curve and a carved wooden base set on castors.
The frame features soft, flowing lines with restrained scrollwork along the apron and cabriole legs, giving it a sense of movement without excess ornament. Newly reupholstered in a neutral velvet, the finish is quiet and considered, allowing the form to take focus.
Originally intended for salon interiors, it works easily at the end of a bed or as a standalone piece in a living space.
78” long. Likely Continental European, late 1800s. Frame shows age consistent with use.
