Bakku Vase, Medio - Smoked Forest
Maker: 101 Copenhagen
Named after the Japanese word “Bakku,” meaning “bag,” this collection embodies a distinctive, fluid form reminiscent of a softly collapsing sack. Each vase celebrates the beauty of imperfection, embracing natural curves and subtle variations that bring artistic elegance to any space. Expertly crafted using the age-old technique of mouth-blown glassmaking, each Bakku vase begins as molten glass heated to 1,500 degrees Celsius before being carefully shaped inside a custom mold. Air is then gently blown into the glass, forming its iconic silhouette.
Due to its artisanal craftsmanship, no two Bakku vases are exactly alike; small air bubbles or slight variations in shape make each piece truly one-of-a-kind.
